Section 46.
The fee of all streets and alleys now within Falls City is vested in the city, and shall forever
remain open as thoroughfares for the use of the public unless legally closed by the city council.
(N. B. This section does not include public highways, but only streets that were streets when the
Charter was passed, or which have since been dedicated as streets for the use of the public.

Section 47.
The city council has power to remove any street or alley or any part thereof now or hereafter
laid out or established within the corporate limits of the city.
Section 48.
The power and authority to improve a street includes the power to improve the sidewalks or
pavements, which improvement shall be made in the same manner as street improvements, except that
the cost thereof shall be paid by the property abutting thereon.
