Whereas, a wise custom has been established which calls for a general clean-up day each year in this city; and Whereas, the time has arrived when we should look to the beautifying of our city by ridding our streets and private enclosures of the trash and rubbish that gathers there in the course of a year's time; and Whereas, the city council of Falls City has made provisions for the hauling away of all rubbish collected on the day hereinafter provided for at the expense of the city; Now, Therefore, I, Frank K. Hubbard, as Mayor of Falls City, by virtue of the power in me vested, do hereby proclaim and declare that Monday, the 12th day of April, 1915, shall be and the same hereby is named as a general clean-up day in Falls City, and I request that all citizens unite upon that day to make the event mean to this city all that it is intended to mean; I particularly request that the women of this city lend their efforts to see that the intention of this proclamation is fully and completely carried out. Trash and rubbish collected on that day, if placed in a box in the street (next to the curb), will be hauled away by teams in the employ of the city without any charge to the property owner. Any person having such trash and rubbish to be hauled away will notify the City Marshal. Done at Falls City, Oregon, this 1st day of April, 1915. F. K. HUBBARD, Mayor. ![]() BUSINESS MAN PRAISES DR. MILES' HEART REMEDY Successful Merchant After Investigation Found A Remedy That Restored His Health
"This is Thanksgiving day in the state of Pennsylvania and I want to devote a part of it in writing a letter to you. On the 26th day of November, I was stricken with heart trouble. My family physician called it Angina Pectoris. I had from one to five attacks in 1 1/2 hours, in the latter part of December, 1910. I wrote to the Miles Medical Co., for information concerning my case, and in reply I received a very kind and instructive letter, which I handed to my family doctor, and he told me to use your Remedies in connection with the medicine he gave me, so I did. I used five bottles of Dr. Miles' Heart Remedy and seven bottles of Dr. Miles' Nervine. I was confined to the house for about four months. The action of my heart is now, and has been normal for the last six months. I can truely recommend Dr. Miles' Nervine and Heart Remedy to do what they are intended for, if used according to directions. I thank you kindly for your advice in answer to my monthly reports. I am now sixty-seven years of age, have been in the mercantile business for thirty-five years and lived retired for the last thirteen years."A. B. Hollinger. Dr. Miles' Heart Remedy is sold and guaranteed by all druggists. Miles Medical Co., Elkhart, Ind. ![]() |
