The Garden club usually puts out a monthly newsletter, which contains information on the upcoming meeting or holiday event, gardening articles, recipes, club news and fun items.

The Club was formed as a non-profit association on October 13, 1949. The Club celebrated its 50th anniversary with a special edition cookbook in 1999. The Club has an annual display booth at the Polk County Fair.

The Club has an annual Spring Plant Sale in May and a Holiday Bazaar in December. The members also have a holiday party in December. The Club has about 53 members, interested persons and honorary members. The honorary members are long-time members who made significant contributions to the Club and no longer pay dues.

Meetings are on the 4th Thursday of the month at 7 pm at the First Christian Church, except in November and December.
Men, women and young people may all join.
Annual dues are $5, except for juniors who are free. Visitors are always welcome.
