The History of the Falls City Centennial Coins
The following is a true and accurate history documented by Rick Zunck.

I had the honor and pleasure of serving on the City Council, and was Director of Parks and Recreation from May of 1989 to May of 1992. Towards the end of 1990, plans were being made for Falls City's Centennial Celebration, which was to be held the following year. Plans were also being made to have our own Centennial Coins minted and sold at the celebration. As Chairman of the Centennial Committee, I contacted the "Northwest Territorial Mint" in Auburn, WA, and they suggested we have a local artist sketch what we had in mind and send it to them. I contacted Judy Williams and asked if she would draw the first skecth. I had seen several of her drawings and felt she was more than qualified. She graciously accepted and submitted the following first skecth...

Once they received the sketch, their artist drew and submitted the following final drawing...

The final drawing was brought before the Council, Council approved, and the rest is history.
THANK YOU Judy Williams.
